The Role:


The Director of Media Strategy and Optimisation will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing multi-channel media strategies that drive performance and growth. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital media, data analytics, and optimisation techniques. Overseeing a talented team, this individual will spearhead campaign strategies, refine media processes, and ensure best-in-class execution across paid, owned, and earned channels. Working in a hybrid capacity, they will foster collaboration between teams, mentor media specialists, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to maximise campaign impact.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and oversee strategic media plans across digital, social, programmatic, and traditional channels.
  • Optimise campaign performance through data analysis, A/B testing, and advanced targeting strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of media strategists and analysts, fostering innovation and best practices.
  • Collaborate with creative, content, and client-facing teams to align media strategy with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging media trends and technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting to ensure ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media partners, platforms, and vendors.


Requirements:


  • 10+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, and optimisation, with a strong digital focus.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced agency or brand environment.
  • Expertise in digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Meta, programmatic DSPs (DV360, CM360, SA360), and emerging media.
  • Solid experience with tools such as ComScore, Emarketer, and more.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with attribution modelling, audience segmentation, and media measurement methodologies.
