Finance Manager

The Company:


Based in Eagle Farm, this growing electrical engineering company supports clients across the mining and manufacturing sectors. Off the back of large-scale growth, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion and operational maturity. As part of this evolution, they’re seeking a capable Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial direction.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage end-to-end financial operations including general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close
  • Maintain and improve accuracy across MYOB and Xero accounting systems
  • Prepare management reports, board packs, and financial statements
  • Coordinate external audits with Big 4 auditors
  • Analyse cost of goods sold (COGS) and develop product cost models
  • Deliver project-based financial reporting and margin analysis
  • Produce net profit assessments and cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with ASIC and act as Company Secretary
  • Manage stock control and understand inventory tied to manufacturing processes
  • Assist with implementation of Contractor Management Systems (CMS) in line with mining compliance standards


Desired Skills and Attributes:


  • Experience in financial or management accounting, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial settings
  • Understanding of the mining services or industrial contracting sector
  • Strong foundation in reporting, audit processes, and cost analysis
  • Autonomous and detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset
  • Exposure to project accounting and financial due diligence
  • Skilled in stakeholder reporting including executives and investors
  • Familiarity with government grants or private equity environments
  • CPA or CA qualified (or working towards) highly regarded
  • Suitable for a Senior or Management Accountant ready to step into leadership
