Product Designer

Job description

Are you a seasoned Product Designer with a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences? Join a dynamic team in Sydney within the rapidly expanding PharmaTech sector, where your work will directly impact the future of digital healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Product (UX) Design: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from ideation through to planning, design, and delivery. You’ll lead the effort in consolidating two existing platforms into one seamless user experience.
  • Platform Enhancement: Work with business and engineering teams to improve platform features, ensuring a more user-friendly and visually appealing interface.
  • UX/UI Research: Conduct comprehensive user research, using both primary and secondary methods, to deeply understand user needs, preferences, and pain points. Translate these insights into actionable design solutions that are user-centred.
  • Prototyping & Wireframing: Develop detailed user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups using tools like Figma. Continuously refine these designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • User Testing: Plan and conduct user testing sessions to validate design concepts, identify usability issues, and refine designs to optimise the user experience.
  • Product Management: Maintain and operate the product backlog and sprints, ensuring that all design solutions align with broader business/product objectives and technical constraints.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet user needs and business goals.
  • Design System Management: Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency across all touchpoints of the platform, delivering a unified user experience.
  • Analytics Integration: Work with the data team to design and integrate a robust analytics product into the platform, providing users with clear and actionable insights.
  • Feedback: Continuously incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into your designs to enhance the overall user experience.

About You:

  • Proven Expertise: You have a demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of digital products, particularly within an Agile environment, with experience in maintaining and operating product backlogs and sprints. Ideal candidates will have honed their craft on digital products at the startup and/or scaleup level, and in addition to Product Design also have solid Product Management expertise.
  • Product Design Evangelist: Your portfolio reflects your expertise as a Product (UX/UI) Designer, with a strong track record of creating user-centred designs that are both functional and visually compelling.
  • Tool Proficiency: You are proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and Figma, with a basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript that enhances your collaboration with development teams.
  • Attention to Detail: You possess a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong attention to detail, ensuring your designs are polished and meet high standards of quality.
  • Effective Communicator: You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate your ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders. You thrive in a team-oriented environment and are passionate about technology and innovation.
  • Continuous Learner: You are driven by a desire to continuously improve your skills and stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies. Your approach to problem-solving is both analytical and creative.
