Senior AEM Developer & Consultant | 100% Remote | $50-70/hr

The Company:

A digital consultancy known for its commitment to transforming enterprise content systems is seeking a skilled Senior AEM Developer & Consultant. The team is comprised of strategic thinkers and technical experts who deliver scalable solutions that elevate the digital experience for some of North America’s leading organizations.

The Role:

This role requires a CMS specialist with deep expertise in OpenText Core Content and Extended ECM, alongside strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The successful candidate will lead CMS architecture and implementation efforts, while offering strategic guidance to clients on content integration, performance optimization, and digital asset management.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement CMS solutions with a focus on OpenText Core Content and AEM
• Develop AEM components, templates, workflows, and content models
• Integrate CMS platforms with ERP, CRM, DAM, and cloud services
• Optimize metadata structures, taxonomy, and content workflows
• Provide technical consultation during CMS selection, migration, and implementation
• Conduct system audits, performance tuning, and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with business, marketing, IT, and UX teams to align content strategies with enterprise needs
• Support pre-sales efforts and lead client workshops and training
• Drive innovation in headless CMS, content automation, and AI-driven strategies

Requirements:

• 8+ years in enterprise content management (ECM) and CMS development
• Expertise in OpenText Core Content & Extended ECM
• Strong experience with AEM Sites, Assets, and Workflows
• Knowledge of content modelling, taxonomy management, and governance
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Python or .NET for CMS customizations
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and headless CMS implementations
• Integration experience with platforms like SAP, Salesforce, or Workday
• Skilled in DAM workflows and content lifecycle automation
• Able to thrive in Agile/Scrum environments and manage concurrent projects
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical documentation abilities
• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or equivalent certification

Bonus requirements (not a necessity but nice to have!):

• Experience in financial services or fintech environments
• Exposure to Sitecore, Drupal, or WordPress
• Knowledge of records/document management solutions
• DevOps experience (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Familiarity with composable architectures and AI-driven content tools
• OpenText Certified Consultant designation
