The Role
As the Vice President of Operations and Revenue, you will be a key member of the executive team, working closely with the CEO to drive operational success and revenue growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead and shape the company’s strategic direction, ensuring that processes and performance align with the organization’s ambitious goals. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel required, and includes a competitive base, bonus and stock options.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Over 5 years of leadership experience in operations, particularly in the defense industry, with expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering processes.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, sales, or business development within federal government or DoD markets.
- Proven experience with VR-guided military training systems, electronics equipment for defense, and knowledge of the regulatory landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to scale high-growth businesses and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and business growth.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in electronics production environments.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations and streamline workflows across departments.
- Introduce continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Act as a thought leader in defense technology and innovation.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the CEO to define long-term business objectives and market strategies.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Work with the product development team to ensure timely and budget-friendly product launches.
Business Development:
- Partner with the sales team to expand the company’s reach and build strategic relationships.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with public and private agencies.
- Maintain and foster key partnerships with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing operations team.
- Promote a culture of integrity, customer focus, and innovation.
- Set clear objectives for the team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to drive informed business decisions.
