Business Development Specialist (360 Recruitment) | $50,000 - $60,000 + Commission 


The Company:

With offices in both Australia and Canada, this position would be for our team in downtown Vancouver. We're pet friendly and operate under a hybrid model, having Monday to Wednesday in the office with the flexibility to work from home on Thursday & Friday. 


The Role:

A core component of this role is generating business, creating your own client base by following up on leads, fostering relationships and ultimately managing accounts. Ideally, you will have industry experience or a degree in at least one of the following: Technology, Gaming, Advertising, Marketing, Product, Creative or Sales. Hopefully this will be coupled with prior experience within agency recruitment, but we’re open to candidates new to the industry as well. What’s most important is that you thrive on conversations, have an empathetic mindset and a knack for connecting with people. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of attracting and placing great talent for our established client base, as well as new clients that you bring to the table – from meeting with hiring managers, writing job descriptions and reviewing applications, to negotiating and making job offers, all the way through to managing employee relations post-hire. You will need top-notch communication skills, be deadline-focused, hard-working, and above all else, enjoy interacting with people!


Responsibilities:

  • Utilising our CRM & Linkedin Recruiter, you will drive up conversations with hiring managers, fostering relationships and ultimately managing accounts by finding them top-quality candidates. 
  • Set and conduct meetings with prospective clients to better understand their business needs while running them through our value, our process and our terms of business.
  • Utilise your industry knowledge to focus on the sectors you know best and the skillsets you truly understand.
  • Develop recruiting strategies to help fill our clients’ hiring needs.
  • Help create and evolve job descriptions in partnership with our clients.
  • Review incoming applications to match them with job requirements
  • Source candidates via databases, social networks & specialist platforms
  • Perform pre-screening calls to confirm candidate qualifications and select the most suitable candidates to refer onto hiring managers.
  • Facilitate interviews between hiring managers and applicants
  • Negotiate salaries and benefits, creating a match between both candidate and client.


Requirements:

  • Prior exposure to Sales, Business Development or 360 Agency recruitment.
  • Industry experience or a degree relating to Technology, Gaming, Advertising, Marketing, Product, Creative or Sales.
  • A deep understanding of how to connect with people through conversation.
  • An empathetic mindset.
  • Are able to work closely with hiring managers to find the best candidates for their positions.
  • A great communicator with the ability to connect with people from different countries, cities and cultures.
  • Deadline and Results focused, you’re not shy of hard work.
  • You perform well in a fast-paced office and thrive in a competitive environment.
  • A competent and confident negotiator.
  • Strong social aptitude and ability to build relationships.
  • An impressive business acumen.
