Finance Manager
Job description

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
- Manage and review financial reporting, including month-end, budget forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Develop and monitor financial performance strategies, policies, and controls.
- Provide leadership and support to finance team members and guide the development of best practices.
- Conduct cash flow planning, bank reconciliations, and maintain insurance cover to align with business needs.
- Engage with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other external partners to uphold compliance standards.
- Analyse Cost Centre reports to understand productivity impacts and enhance labour rate efficiencies.
- Support and implement strategic financial business initiatives with senior management and department heads.
- Lead the performance review and development of team members, fostering continuous improvement.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Degree in Accounting or Commerce and CA/CPA qualification.
- Extensive experience with accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and forward-planning abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate.
- Familiarity with financial system implementation (advantageous).
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
