Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hardware team, encompassing Electronics, FPGA, and Mechanical engineers.
- Set technical direction and establish goals for the team.
- Propose, review, and support the design tools utilised by the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in development practices, with an emphasis on automation and toolchain enhancement.
- Establish and uphold team-specific quality control practices and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure well-integrated designs.
- Create personal work packages with defined deliverables and provide regular progress updates.
- Mentor and review team members to promote high-quality design practices.
- Oversee talent productivity and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Anticipate project delays and proactively implement alternative solutions.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 10–20 years of experience in high-level electronics design and/or hardware management.
- Proven track record of managing highly technical teams.
- Expertise in designing and developing complex electronic systems.
- Strong skills in precision analog data acquisition and high-speed digital circuit development.
- Ability to translate high-level goals into detailed work package plans.
- Proficient in planning and scheduling across short- and long-term timelines.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation capabilities.
- Excellent operational decision-making and stakeholder engagement abilities.
