Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and process improvements.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
• Collaborate with production planning and inventory control teams to optimize stock levels.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team.
• Continuously improve procurement and logistics processes, leveraging technology for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
• Oversee procurement budgets and track performance metrics.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality assurance teams.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics; postgraduate studies in purchasing or logistics are beneficial.
• 10+ years of people management experience.
• 5+ years in a technical purchasing function and 2+ years in logistics.
• Experience with production stock management and transfers.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing procurement, logistics, and warehousing best practices.
• Proven ability to engage, motivate, and lead teams.
• Strong process development and management skills.
• Detail-oriented while managing large-scale operations.
