Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Automation

Key Responsibilities


• Meet sales targets as defined with the APAC Director/BU Leader.

• Define and implement the local sales strategy.

• Develop and grow the General-Purpose Drives partner network.

• Support existing customers, including Distributors, System Integrators, and OEMs.

• Identify and develop new sales channels for Variable Speed Drives.

• Travel regularly to designated regions to execute business strategies.

• Build long-term relationships with customers, understanding and meeting their needs.

• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training.

• Coordinate with Sales Administration and follow up on order statuses and contracts.

• Maintain customer records and prepare regular reports.

• Advocate for the company’s inverters and motors based on quality, price, and delivery.

• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.

• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.


Desired Skills and Attributes


• Degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the Variable Speed Drives industry.

• Existing network and relationships with Variable Speed Drives channels.

• Strong technical field sales proficiency and industry knowledge.

• Profound understanding of the Sydney/NSW Industrial Drives market.

• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

• Technical background in Variable Speed Drives.

• Proven ability to build and maintain trustful working relationships.

• Strong sales management experience.

• Ability to work within a multi-cultural and global environment.

• Full knowledge of the company’s product line and applications.

• Business acumen, customer focus, and a drive for results.

• Ability to develop direct reports and deal with ambiguity.
