Salesforce Solution Architect | Travel Industry | Inquiry Management Platform | Toronto or Vancouver (In-office) | $140,000 - $175,000 + Bonus

From humble beginnings in 1982, when it was first incorporated, the company's remarkable growth positions it as one of the world's largest suppliers of travel services and products. With over 5000 staff worldwide, their team is always growing, with some of the most talented people in the industry! This role would sit on the B2B side of their organisation, focusing on corporate travel, solutions, meetings and events. With 9 direct reports spanning across 5 regions, you will join a wider corporate marketing team consisting of 96 members around the world.

 

The Role:

Following the completion of a major rebuild of its legacy Salesforce system, the organization is now focused on harnessing technology to support global business expansion. This includes enabling critical business processes across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Account Management, and Support, as well as a recently implemented Omni-Channel platform leveraging Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice, Einstein, GPT, and other essential platforms to enhance customer interactions.

The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving and have a keen understanding of both business processes and the technology that empowers them. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to an established travel leader’s transformation journey.


Responsibilities:

  • Align business processes with Salesforce best practices, ensuring solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement optimal solutions.
  • Lead the design and delivery of technical solutions that meet business needs and user requirements.
  • Document and create data structures and process flows, mapping functional requirements to features.
  • Drive idea generation and solution optimization through business and technical grooming sessions.
  • Engage with Design and Governance teams to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Offer guidance on technical direction, support the Platform Technology lead, and contribute to testing, UAT, and documentation.
  • Work with Support, Governance, and Enablement teams on user rollout.
  • Review and manage Salesforce updates and contribute to the development of a Salesforce roadmap.
  • Mentor team members in best practices for business analysis, project management, and Salesforce.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder.
  • 5–7 years in solution architecture, covering business architecture, integration, UX, and process improvement.
  • Expertise with Salesforce Service Cloud, Omni Channel, Service Cloud Voice, and Einstein for Service.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce functionality, security, and best practices, along with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
  • Technical skills: Experienced in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs
  • Strong analytical mindset, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, able to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide Level 3 support.
  • Knowledge of SDLC techniques and Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrates conflict resolution skills and creative problem-solving abilities, maintaining a user-focused approach.
